Beth's Books and Movies of 2008

Thank you for visiting. I thought it would be fun to list my reads and watches this year although it's already April and I'm just starting, lol.

Books (from April 2008)

House by Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker
Totally scary and very well written story of 2 couples trapped in a very weird house in Alabama. I would actually classify it as Christian Horror. Highly recommended - A+
Step on a Crack by James Patterson. Very well written story about a detective who gets involved in a very high profile hijacking while dealing with his wife's cancer and carign for his 10 adopted children. The action was great, very creative and the personal pieces were handled tenderly and with great emotion. Hard to put down. - A

Movies
Georgia Rules - Great movie about three generations of difficult women spending a summer coming to terms with each other(ew.com) with Jane Fonda, Lindsay Lohan and Felicity Huffman. I thought the acting was good and the story was well written.
Reign over Me with Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle. Powerful movie about a man suffering from PTSD after losing his family on 9/11. His college roomate meets up with him again and tries to help him through this while learning to appreciate his own family. It's gotten mixed reviews but I enjoyed it and thought Sandler did very in a non-comedic role.
Wall-E - This was really cute and I wasn't sure I would like it. We saw it at a drive in along with Journey to the Center of the Earth. Both were just fun, relax and enjoy type movies which I like now and again.
